It also might be good to discuss what happens when a a Proposed Standard status document updates/amends a document at Standard status.

If we want to saying anything here then maybe that extensions using the "extends" tag can have lower maturity level but "amends" should ideally have the same maturity level. However, I'm actually not to sure if that is too restrictive and therefore really useful. Maybe it would be good to again look at how "updates" is used today and what's the usual case.
