Hi @shyam-habarakada First of all - thanks for your answer! About long-term plan. The main idea of this gem was to make integration of daemons into Rails app as simple as possible and to provide simple interface for daemons-to-app communication (start/stop/status monitoring). So I didn't mind about overloading it with features, but it can be extended with some functionality to improve their stability, may be daemon templates support (i.e. you may easily create queue based daemon) or may be it can have some inter-process communication capabilities (i.e. it may be useful for pulling or pushing execution progress). Because now I'm not a user of this lib it is hard to imagine real situations and improvements. So if you have any ideas or existing problems we can discuss them and convert to features. |
Hello, @mirasrael I will try to get that pull request done as soon as possible. I just recently changed jobs and i am still trying to accomodate and didn't had much time to solve all those comments from the pull request. Will try to get it done as soon as i have a bit of time. |
@bogdanRada let me know if/how I can help. |
@bogdanRada can you please push your current work to separate branch? So other people will be able to help to advance this PR (#32) toward while you are busy with all this staff. |
Hello i have closed the pull request as I dont really have time to continue development of this project due to some personal issues. I wish everyone good luck with this project! |
@mirasrael I noticed the request for maintainers. Can you give a bit more information on where you need help with? We use this gem on our projects and would love to lend a hand and keep it up to date.
If it is simply a matter of fixing bugs, looks like the list is short. But I am assuming you have a longer work list that you have in mind that may not be captures in the issues list.
Thanks
