Controller input crashes the game immediately #734

Describe the bug
Game crashes every time I press a button on my controller - can use keyboard and mouse with no problem.

To Reproduce

  1. Connect xinput controller.
  2. Start the game.
  3. Put any input from the controller
  4. Launcher crashes

Expected behavior
Controller input must not crash the game

  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04, KDE Plasma Desktop Environment
  • Version Version v0.5.0.693-AppImage-x86_64 (build 693)
  • Installation Type AppImage

Not supported is a similar looking app in the snap store.

Why does some people think exit code 6 is meaningful? It is just a unix signal number.

It turns out if I wait for a few minutes before using the controller, it works fine.
