Does multiplayer work?

I tried inviting my friends to my world but they didnt receive any invites nor is my world on their multiplayer list.
I dont get invites either or can see their worlds. Is that an issue on my end or does this not support multiplayer over worlds

Multiplayer yes, invites no

• invites doesn't work and won't work anytime soon, missing native xbox app and so on.
• joining local multiplayer may work
• joining a friends world without invite only may work
• host friend join world without require invite may work
• join realm world may work (It is dangerous to rely on joining realms, updates to Minecraft may delay)
• join official dedicated server may work

* may work, sometimes might not work for unknown reasons
