How to extract some area in ID

I have a ID from Mozambique and I would like to extract only the name, birthday from it.
I want to build an REST API sending the ID file and response this areas. Please help out with this. Is for my project to complete my Diploma.

Are the areas static so each field you want to extract on the same position ?

Otherwise you have multiple options:

KIE: Use docTR for plain OCR and afterwards forward the output for example to a LiLT model (https://huggingface.co/docs/transformers/model_doc/lilt) to extract the required key information.

NER: Same use docTR for plain OCR (result.render() to get the plain text as string) and combine it with https://github.com/urchade/GLiNER which should work pretty well if you need only names and birthdates.

The area are static is ID card

In this case you could simply filter the docTR output because it contains the pixel coordinates of each detected word :)

Ok. But you in ID card, the names are different, some should be longer and other shorter. But the field is in the same position.

Other thing is that the user should sand images from ID whit different positions , resolution.

Then it's not static :) In this case i would suggest to give the docTR for OCR + GLiNER for information extraction a try
