Here is the proposal 😄

Grin has a long list of todo, that's very good! some exciting new features are coming from this list. And I'm sure it's OK to achieve all of these by current development model: one full-time developer + all other voluntary open-source contributors (including 8 other core devs at this moment).

But if we have more donations to sponsor more full-time developers, why not (more full-time devs)? :-)

It will definitely speed up Grin development and let Grin more competitive comparing to other cryptocurrency projects which is being run by a company / foundation and has a lot of full-time employees to work for.

Unfortunately, current Grin funding pool is still at a low level and can't afford many full-time, but it's good time to start moving on this direction! (40 days already after mainnet launching)

Thanks for all Grin community donators, and thanks to those promised constantly donations such as Sparkpool, Grinmint pool (announcement), Poloniex exchange (announcement), and so on (sorry I don't write full list of you here! it will be easy to see the list after the refactoring of Friends of Grin page is completed, refer to #52 and we agreed to design a leaderboard for donations on last governance meeting). the current Grin funding pool should be able to sponsor 2 more full-time developers (but only with a limited "average" salary level same as the current full-time developer @yeastplume, i.e. 10k US$/Month) , at this time.

So, for this time, I propose to offer the great founder @ignopeverell and his older brother @antiochp a full-time job to continue developing Grin, and no more day job to earn for living is needed for them! :-)

I'm sure this "average" salary can't cover the current income of their day job, according to their great programming skill, knowledges and contributions already well known in Grin development. But it's our sincerity to give this offer and invite their full-time contributions to Grin, I believe they will seriously consider this offer because of the true love with Grin project :-)

And it's definitely true that we have a lot of talents in Grin community and many of them deserve such kind of offer, including but not limited all 6 remaining core devs (@tromp @hashmap @jaspervdm @quentinlesceller @lehnberg and myself) and some very nice new contributors as we already see, and some interesting community OSS projects developers, we can continue such kind of offering proposal (or any other possible sponsor methods) in the future, but obviously the limitation is the Grin funding pool level, we have to make sure the pool can afford it. Because it will be too bad if the funding pool can't continue payout for the full-time devs and in case they depend on this salary for the daily living.

that's all for my proposal, please feel free to correct me if anything wrong in it.

(btw, to avoid a boring monthly payout from Grin general funding pool, it could be better to define 3-month as an interval to launch such kind of payout, if the funding pool has enough balance).

[updated]
If approval on this meeting, this payout can start from 1st Mar. if feasible.
