Support canary for partner teams #584
Comments
Thanks Michael for creating this issue. MSGraph canary environment is used by workload developers to perform integration tests of schema updates. Graph explorer is crucial tool used in the process. Please prioritize accordingly. |
@sriram-d @MIchaelMainer you can actually test Canary on the new Graph Explorer, just use the canary url on the address bar. E.g. type this url on the Graph Explorer address bar testprodbetataxonomyNewPrd |
@MIchaelMainer the proposed solution from Betti - does it fit the use case? From my understanding, one of the Graph Explorer non-goals is 'Supporting 1st party non-production environment'. CC: @RabebOthmani for further discussion & @darrelmiller |
@adhiambovivian I think that is one of a couple of steps that are needed to support canary. We need to be able to request scopes using a canary specific URI. @nikithauc is my understanding correct? |
@MIchaelMainer Though I was not able to run testprodbetataxcoonomyNewPrd, I was successfully able to run a couple of tests against in the JS SDK using testprodv1.0mirrorVersion. testprodv1.0mirrorVersion worked in GE. The only problem is that GE displays an error that canary.graph is not a valid endpoint but that does not disable the capability to run the query. |

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Old Graph Explorer had canary support. We lost this support which impacts partner teams when they are integrating their features into Graph.
Describe the solution you'd like
The same solution as what we had in old GE.
