Allow icons in menus

Can VS Code add the ability to have icons beside menu items? I think it would greatly improve UX. Below is a comparison of context menu examples from some common programs.
I realize this is a duplicate of #53868 and #173981, but since it's been over 4 years since that issue got closed I am hoping things have changed and you will reconsider whether this is still out-of-scope.
