  • Open a folder with Remote-SSH.
  • Reopen folder in container.
  • Trigger reconnection, e.g. by terminating the SSH daemon or sending the local machine to sleep.
    • Note that restarting the daemon with Ubuntu's service tools preserves existing connections.
    • Log messages indicate when reconnection is triggered (F1 > Remote-Containers: Show Container Log)
  • Verify reconnection works.
