Comments
Can you collect-wsl-logs? I can take a look at the logs to see if there is any error reported. |
@licanhua I followed the steps and submitted. I'm experiencing the same issue. |
Please share the link for the log |
I confirm the same issue after upgrade to WSL2 from WSL1. Additional network pieces of information. Windows WSL vEthernet: Ethernet adapter vEthernet (WSL): Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Ubuntu 20.04 ip address and ip route ip address ip route cat /etc/resolve.conf Effect, no internet access in Ubuntu, the host is not accessible, a firewall (ESET) is disable while testing. Docker desktop installed and running on the Windows host (if it could be the issue). |
@matjawor, From network aspect, the ip config looks good. There are lot of possibilities which may cause issue, For example, there is another network on Windows(you can check it via You can start with If you can saw more than 2 hops, then you can compare with the output of |
I had to recreate the submission since I wasn't logged in the first time. Here is the link: https://aka.ms/AAa0oze |
@jbc22 Thanks for your link, but unfortunately the logs your submitted is empty. Most of time, empty logs is because user doesn't start/stop recording when submitting the logs via Feedback Hub. I don't know if reset the network will help |
The reset network steps did not resolve. I'd also reset the app, uninstalled and reinstalled. The interface isn't pulling an IP address from DHCP. Here is another attempt to provide logs via Feedback Hub. https://aka.ms/AAa2a1q |
Thanks. You submitted the log, but there is no log associated with it. I don't know if any workaround of #5061 applies to you. |
I can confirm this issue in freshly installed windows 10 pro 2004 . Update: A workaround from #5061 (comment) is getting the job done |
@licanhua what logs can I submit with this issue? Neither of those two apply. |
@licanhua I downgraded to WSLv1 for that image and it's working 100% now. |
If you modified, moved or compressed the temp folder, look at #5437 for the solution |
I have the same problem. That said, I don't think it is a WSL problem—I was working just fine less than two weeks ago. The problem in-between? Windows fast-trac updates. Hardly the first time I've been crippled by a new version… |
@licanhua |
I've only had the problem for two weeks— but I've seen reports back to at
least March so I'd guess it's a complicated problem that they are playing
whack-a-bug with.
|
I don't have update on this. |
I just migrated from WSL1 to 2 and the Ubuntu lost the internet conectivity. In my case, I'm using the PC from work, and the problem was solved by disabling the McAfee Endpoint Security Firewall. |
