📝 Provide a description of the new feature

What is the expected behavior of the proposed feature? What is the scenario this would be used?

--- When a user is connected to WiFi, cellular or ethernet, it is useful to see what speeds they are receiving on their machines live, without having to constantly google what their speeds are (which in itself requires you to have an internet connection in the first place to do it). This feature is already in Apple devices and has been useful as well to help diagnose whether or not the drop or loss in internet speed is happening on the user side or the internet provider side.

If you'd like to see this feature implemented, add a 👍 reaction to this post.

Would be useful to have WiFi channels information there somewhere, so I could investigate inference with other devices.

The Task Manager does not provide enough information for you?

Not so that the information appears on the taskbar and updates with the latest speeds, live

This sounds like https://macandegg.com/2018/06/how-to-show-network-speed-in-macos-menu-bar/ (which was an addon)

It'd be great to have the network speed on the taskbar. I've seen it being done with third-party programs, but if it's included in powertoys, it'd be of great help.

@crutkas , as pointed out @jsoref it is an extension, not inbuilt. I was under the impression that it was inbuilt because my friend who has a Macbook Pro (bought 2 years ago) said it was inbuilt into it........

@crutkas This feature is included in #3583 and I think you can close this issue.
