Please index desktop shortcuts for PowerToys run, or increase their search weight

Often I use PowerToys run as a quick way to launch things that I also have icons for on the desktop. This way I don't have to go back to the desktop to launch them. Many of these items also appear in the start menu, but not all of them. A good example of things that don't appear there and should be indexed separately are games installed through the Xbox app. They don't appear in search results even with additional shortcuts created. They do appear when I search in the Start Menu.

I think we need to validate how those apps are getting installed. If they appear in start menu, we may just be not doing it correctly.

Can you give us an example of the game so we can repro that you got on xbox?

An example is Alien Isolation. Ori and the Blind Forrest.

Many of them are showing though, so that's confusing. Undertale is an example of that:

Additionally Some games that are installed through the Epic Games Store aren't present in PowerToys Run either.

Thanks for looking into this!

@ColinRNickels I downloaded Alien: Isolation and Ori using windows store and I am able to find these in powertoys run. Can you please clear cache by deleting following folder : %userprofile%/appdata/local/microsoft/powertoys/powertoys run/Cache and see if these games show up?

I removed that folder and now both items appear!
