One pixel wide gap #18859
Comments
What are the exact settings for this layout? Does it have "show space.." switched off? |
It's been a thing for a while. My workaround is to set zone margin to -2 |
It solved it! I didn't think it can go negative, and setting it to -1 worked perfectly fine too. Thank you! |
setting to -1 or -2 margin partially solves the issue for me, except that with dual monitors now I'm having windows bleed over onto the other monitor. It would seem most ideal if powertoys could remove the gap entirely when turning off "space around zones" as it seems to be a bug that there is currently a 1 or 2 pixel gap between windows that should be snapped against each other |
I observe this behavior for a long time. I use -2 as a workaround, since -1 still leave a gap on left and right sides of windows. But -2 creates a small overlapping effect on the wider monitor, while leaves a gap on the regular 16:9 screen. |
I've long had similar problem. There's a gap between the zoned window and the edge of the screen even if I dragged the zone to the edge in the zone editor. It seems to be much larger than 1px. The current 0.65.0 version doesn't have the workaround option mentioned above. Duplicate issue: #18327. |
I believe it's a /dup of #2151. |
Hi! We've identified this issue as a duplicate of another one that already exists on this Issue Tracker. This specific instance is being closed in favor of tracking the concern over on the referenced thread. Thanks for your report! |
Microsoft PowerToys version
0.59.1
Running as admin
Area(s) with issue?
FancyZones
Steps to reproduce
Drag open tabs and place them in a zone. My screen's aspect ratio is 3440x1440. Gaps should appear. It happens both on preset and custom templates.
✔️ Expected Behavior
After dragging tabs into their intended zones while holding the shift button, the windows align with each other and with the edges of the screen perfectly.
❌ Actual Behavior
There are one pixel wide gaps between the different windows open. Also, there are one pixel wide gaps at the left and right edges of my screen.
