Filter webpart options are displaying like below sample screenshot. How to resolve this?

Filter webpart options are displaying like below sample screenshot. How to resolve this?

To Reproduce

1. Create a SharePoint list
2. Add a choice column with name "Countries" and add 3 options "Berlin" "London" and "Paries"
3. Select column option as multiple selection
4. Add few test records in the list & select multiple choice options
   5.Create managed metadata property & mapped to Choice field in a SharePoint list.
5. Use the property in PNP Search filter webpart

Expected behavior
PNP Search filter options will display like below screenshot

I assume, you used an out-of-the-box managed property RefinableStringXX for your filter.

Could you please check the following configuration:
For the filter to work correctly, your managed property must be mapped to crawled property ows_Countries (if your column's internal name is Countries) and NOT to ows_q_CHCM_Countries.

For comparison:
If you map to ows_Countries, filter-values are provided as expected:

If you map to ows_q_CHCM_Countries, the result is:

Re-working refiners and splitting is not out of the box. @kasperbolarsen, wasn't you looking at something similar?

Kind of, I have been looking into adding a new Refiner Template for "people"
