I'd imagine most people considering windows would run it on a server edition. Maybe also link to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-on-server ? |

Cygwin totally isn't supported by any of our upstreams. We shouldn't recommend running it. WSL might do, or it can be done natively (which is probably too much effort to be worth it).
