First of all: I think react-select-reborn is a suitable name for the fork and I'm more than happy to keep that name. I just want to drop the idea of instead using this name to publish it to NPM, we could also consider keeping the name to be react-select and use your name as the scope: @marcelltoth/react-select. This way we only have to make minimal changes to the code base and in case the maintainers of react-select become active again, makes merging changes back to the original repository less painful.

I think these are kind of equivalent in the difficulty of merging back. Actually whatever I name it I can always just "replace all" the new name back to 'react-select'. Changing it in the first place was much harder, believe me. :D
I don't really have a strong preference for a name, but to add an argument against the @marcelltoth prefix: I would like to think of this project as a community project, maintained by the community, so I wouldn't like to use my org prefix here. It's not mine.
