Please Help! Abandoned cart not working #256

Hello, i have a huge problem. I'm trying to create 3-step abandoned cart series but it does not work.
I have tried everything, delete plugin and reinstall, move from nginx to cpanel, removing cloudflare
basically everything and yet i haven't found a solution.
No matter what i do i keep getting:
This person is only eligible for transactional emails.

I can send the first email successfully but not second and third as user need to be subscribed which in my case it does not.
Everything on my server works flawlessly and no library is missing.
Please help me i dont know what to do anymore.

@samsamss23 thanks for reporting this but I'm not 100% sure that we will find a solution for this through a code change. Have you talked with MailChimp support about this particular issue on your account? This sounds new to me. I'll run that by the team asap and see if this is the expected behavior. You're saying that the customer can only get 1 transactional email on an abandoned cart?

@ryanhungate i dont have a premium mailchimp account so i cannot contact them. Yes take for example an abandoned purchase, even tho the client ticks "receive email updates" still their emails get added to the list they show as non subscribed meaning i can only send them 1 transaction email and no further email series.
I have tried every possible method to fix it and havent come to a solution

@samsamss23 can you add more context to when they click "receive email updates"? Are you saying that this customer is checking out on your site - and checks the box to subscribe to your newsletter?

If so - have you enabled logging on your plugin ( debug mode to get better details )? What do you see in your plugin logs?

Unfortunately without having a premium MailChimp account - and not having access to support, we're going to be limited on what we can and can not troubleshoot with this account. We will however do the best we can to see if there is a code issue causing this behavior.
