Authorization header is generated as garbage

For some reason this happens specifically with the Authorization header. My guess is that its an encoding issue, because as I type the value it will appear correctly, then turn to gibberish for the next couple of characters, then correct, then gibberish. It looks like it's using a multibyte length that is incorrect.

I've attached a screenshot of it during one of the gibberish steps.
