Overview

Valiant Vidar 7.1.0 is a hard forking release for Mainnet and is scheduled to fork on block 496969 (estimate at Wed Mar 25 14:00:00 2020 [Wed Mar 25 03:00:00 2020 UTC). All service node operators must upgrade to 7.1.x by block 496969 or will be decommissioned/deregistered.

Changelog

  • Loki Name System (LNS) #342 allows purchasing human-readable names that map to a 33 byte Session public key.
  • LokiMQ (LMQ) Communications layer used for both the Loki storage server and lokid.
  • Removing blink param from transfer RPC commands, blink is now signified by setting the priority to 5
  • Blink is the default priority for transactions. There are only 2 priorities for the CLI wallet, unimportant and blink, for backwards compatibility any priority given that is not blink will be converted internally to unimportant. For non-blink transfers (i.e. service node registrations, LNS transactions, stakes, priorities are still accepted).
  • Lower blink fees from 5x to 2.5x the base fee.
  • Remove mixin parameter from transfer RPC (it is locked to 9).
  • darcys22 community contributor helped with some outstanding issues
  • Adding total burn calculation to get_coinbase_tx_sum
  • get_service_node_status rpc endpoint
  • Fix terminal persisting bold text after querying --help flag for the wallet rpc.
