memory issue

it seems that every client is starting session which is leading locust to use more memory than needed, for example a 1000 users will be using about 1GB of memory, i could be wrong about this, however if i'm not, is there a way to get around this issue

Can you add more detail to this? It's not really clear what you are asking, you could be doing a lot of things to increase memory usage.
