I have the same problem. Seems like mintbackup create directory ~/Backups on startup.
Maybe this issue title should be "Add option to change directory to save packages.list"
Interesting. My mintbackup asks me where to save the backup tar file itself, and the things I chose to backup (if you call that the packages.list) is saved in the dconf file. I don't have ~/Backups folder, it's stored in ~/Documents/Backups. And I have no packages.list anywhere.
would it be possible to choose where the package.list will be safed? this would be nice :)
