Repro:

  • start a 10 minute cook @ 45C (or whatever temp is ~20 deg warmer than room temp)
  • note that timer is decreasing before temp is reached

(Incidentally, this is the opposite of the problem that the ChefSteps-provided app has: Viz., it doesn't automatically start the timer even when the water is heated.)

Observed behaviour: Timer starts decrementing immediately.
Expected behaviour: Timer stays at 10 minutes until 45C has been reached.

Ahhh, yeah, thanks for this. I don't use the timer much, so I forgot about this issue entirely. Thanks for the reminder! I'll see if I can carve out some time over the coming days to add that functionality.
