Current preview disappears when returning from settings screen

When the user returns from the settings screen by either applying settings or cancelling, the Markdown preview of the currently opened note will be blank. This happens regardless of the type of note, or the active layout. Switching layouts also will not display the preview again.

The preview is only regenerated if either the source is modified, or if the user switches to a different note.

Neither the debug log nor the console seem to contain anything suspicious.
