@masonrhayes
Copy link

Environment

Joplin version: 1.0.229
Platform: macOS
OS specifics: High Sierra 10.13.6

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a note and copy the Markdown link for this note
  2. Create another note; paste the Markdown link for the note that was copied in Step 1.
  • At this point, the link is a standard Markdown link, as expected.
  1. Now, while editing the note from Step 2, enable the Code View and make any edit to the note. For example, paste the link again on a new line, or type one letter, etc; any edit will do.
  2. Disable Code View and return to the standard Markdown View. Now, you will see that all the Markdown links that were previously on the page have been transformed from [file](:/filename) to [file](joplin://filename)

Describe what you expected to happen

The markdown links should remain unchanged. Prepending joplin:/ to the Markdown links makes the links unusable once they are exported to any application other than Joplin. Maybe this is related to Issue #3308 ?
