Some v4l2 devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi) support video overlay. This is a feature which enables a mask, possibly semi-opaque with an alpha channel, to be overlaid onto the video without invoking the CPU.
Support for this capability can be queried via v4l2. If supported, watermarking our video for the demo, or adding a timestamp, could be useful features.
