Hmm, we already did 17.12.1 in #2597 - after having horrible issues with 17.12.0 in #2427

For that reason I was skeptic to jump straight to 18.03.0 (now with k8s) - waiting for 18.03.1 ...

Currently playing with CRI-o and upstream (kubeadm) doesn't seem to be in any hurry, either:

Version v1.12 is recommended, but v1.11, v1.13 and 17.03 are known to work as well. Versions 17.06+ might work, but have not yet been tested and verified by the Kubernetes node team.
