Requests are inaccessible unless opened from notification drawer

Registration/sign-in requests seem to work only when I open them from notification drawer
Accessing them from icon notifications or just opening the application has no effect (I just get the application screen and the notification itself is lost)

I'm using Pocophone F1, MIU Global 10.0.9.0, Android 8.1.0, stock poco launcher

It's probably the same issue I had, which is battery management.
Add the app to ignore and it always fires notifications
