Hey I am interested in picking up this idea.

But I have some questions.

If we do this , could we actually do these dns queries right in the browser ? (I had asked claude about this for curiosity and it also referred to using dns over https) and created a semi prototype which doesn't work. but it used https://dns.google (crazy that google is a tld as well , I have just discovered this fact!)

and the crazy part that I feel is that dns.google is seriously super fast. I am not sure how it is , but this is way faster than a normal http query so maybe its onto something)

So maybe , it allows dns.toys to be running in the browser as compared to cli tool as well.

(edit there does seem to be a browser option https://github.com/dnsquery/dns-query?tab=readme-ov-file#dns-support and it even supports dns over https)

dns.google.com is an HTTP service (which uses DNS underneath, that's all).
