Please provide the shell and extension information. It will be easier for me to understand the issue without too many unnecessary questions

Describe the bug
on every login, including login back after lock screen session freeze for more than 30 seconds when the extension is enabled.
same thing when initializing the extension

Extension Information

  • Shell Version 41.9-1.fc35
  • Extension Version (Leave blank, if not sure) 43
  • Install method extension.gnome.org
  • OS fc35

Error / Journal messages

  • Enable Log messages in extension preferences and share the output of journalctl -r | grep SDC

this is only the log on first init of th eapp, very very long

I have the same issue, I looked through the code and found that it calls a Python script many times (10+ on my machine), each time having to start a Python interpreter, run the actual code, and exit (which combined takes a lot of time). This should be solved with #262, please take a look and see if it fixes your issue.
