As suggested by @metasansana, with the upcoming release of Express 4 and React, it's a good time to have our first development community meeting to discuss our status and plans.

The topics covered will include our upcoming release plan, and how to enable certain development streams (e.g. expanding our test coverage) going forward.

I think the meeting may go best over either Skype or Google Hangouts, and am open to suggestions.

Would everyone who's interested in participating please leave a note here with their timezone and availability in the next few days (or week?) and we'll see what we can all work out.

Also if you're working on Keystone (by which I mean Keystone itself, not a project that uses Keystone) and haven't received an invite to our Slack team yet, please shout out so I can add you.

I know it's a busy time of year so thanks in advance for everyone who can make the time. Hopefully next year we can make this a more regular thing.

I'm GMT-4. Depending on the day I can stay up.

GMT -5 perhaps propose a couple or so dates/times and I'll see if it's possible.

Excellent. I'm adopting @BerkeleyTrue's title as the official one.

We're all over the place so it's going to be a bit tricky, but for the sake of getting the ball rolling, I'll suggest Monday UTC 04:00. That is:

Sorry @metasansana for the lateness, I'd suggest earlier but I have family arrangements earlier tomorrow I can't get out of.

My second preference would be Wednesday 11am in Sydney, which is Wednesday 8am / Tuesday 4pm / 7pm and 8pm in the same order as above.

Let me know if you can all make it and if not, I'll try and work out another time.

Does anyone have any particular technologies they would like, or can't, use? I'm fine with either Skype or Google Hangouts.

WoOt! I can make it. It is usually easier to get people on with hangouts with just a url, while with skype you will need to invite everyone and re-invite if they accidently drop.

I should be in as well, EST

this would be today the 21st or next sunday the 28th?

I was thinking today, hoping to get a start on the express / react testing & release plan.

Perhaps Wednesday would work better if we haven't had a response from everyone yet...

If it's difficult to do this via a live meet then perhaps open a testing channel in slack to hammer out any testing details and coordination. Otherwise please confirm the live meet.

Actually, I won't be able to Tuesday EST to Thursday EST. But go ahead if it works out.

So this is a few hours from now? I should be awake. +1 for hangouts, drop the link in slack if you do.

Quick roll call. @brianjd @BerkeleyTrue @danielmahon and @metasansana are here, waiting to hear back from @sebmck. Are you around @morenoh149 and @snowkeeper?

@webteckie did you mean you can make it now but not later this week?

Got it. @sebmck also just responded, so we're on :)

Sorry @wuhaixing will make sure to schedule one you can be part of next time!

(I may have been too optimistic with how long it takes to organise a hangout across this many different timezones, my apologies for that - I'll organise the next one much better in advance)

We can use something like http://doodle.com/ to organize the next one.

@JedWatson Will the recording of the Hangout be published to youtube?

I ask because I think it would be useful for devs like me, for planning and considerations of using Keystone. Thank you for putting together a great framework.

@JedWatson

@gitjhn I suspect it will, we recorded it and are going to privately review it first though.

I'll also be posting a summary of what was discussed and outcomes soon.
