It would be great if I could choose to only show card with a specific tag or sets of tags. I am not sure if this is included by the not-so-descriptive #58.

It's indeed not included with #58, that was board filters for the home page (sort by edited, etc.)
For filtering a board by tags, I could imagine making the search bar more powerful by enhancing it with the option to filter by specific properties such as tags or descriptions, e.g. "tag: some-tag".

That would be perfect. I think the syntax I saw in slack, which I liked, was using #channel_name for channels. I think doing the same syntax for tags would be nice.

Despite being very simple v0.8.0 actually allows you to search for cards that have a certain tag, but it doesn't distinguish the tags from the card names.

Sets of tags seem to not work now yet.
I think current global search is great, but the idea of "tag: nameoftag" is good to have. Then after that you could make Boolean search so ["tag1" AND "tag2"] would only show cards that have both of the tags which matches the search.
