Upload to package repositories #447
Comments
That's a giant complement that you think it's ready to be packaged! However, I don't think rcc is quite ready for that yet. Of course if you want to package it yourself that would be super cool, but I don't plan to spend time on it soon. Here's some things I think should work before rcc gets packaged:
Nice to haves:
Note that rcc does run pretty well with musl libc, so I would definitely be willing to put time into packaging it on alpine :) |
Okay I understand that. I will still make an AUR package, because once you upload it, it should work every new version. |
Note also that before I package rcc for chocolatey I should make sure it runs on windows! |
Oh - also make sure that if you package it, you list another C compiler as a dependency (any will work). I use the host |
It seems that someone has already added saltwater to homebrew without my knowing! Homebrew/homebrew-core#57249 |
Since the project is evolving really fast, it would be nice to upload a rcc package to
some package repositories like AUR or Homebrew.
Should the packages be created in external / user contributed repositories or in this repository?
I would be ready to upload a package into the AUR or just provide the PKGBUILD file.
I will list some package repositories that can be used as a todo list.
