Feature request: Midi keys support?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

QMK has midi support which is great. it would be really nice it kanata had as well so I can have a midi layer on any keyboard not just qmk base keyboards

Describe the solution you'd like.

Being able to create midi keys and midi layers. extra point for allowing the creation of arbitrary midi cc message similar to what you can do with qmk custom functions but without having to write c :)

Describe alternatives you've considered.

building my own thing with qmk or customizing the frameware of one of my qmk base keyboards. that will work grate for external qmk base keyboards but not so grate for build in laptop keyboard
