The current SLEEPY FACE (U+1F62A) seems to have a tear sprouting from its eye, the blue drop is especially close in composition and colour to the one on the FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY (U+1F602):

Emoji One SLEEPY FACE icon vs Emoji One FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY icon

I think this should be revised.

FYI, the 'drop' of SLEEPY FACE emoji is not tear nor drooling, but hana chōchin(ja: 鼻ちょうちん; snot bubble), which indicates the person is sleeping. The article in iEmoji.com adequately describes that matter.

It seems to me that Hana chōchin of 😪 in Apple Color Emoji is a bit clumsy. Most hana chōchin are painted in white and look more upward.
Here are some examples of hana chōchin found by Google Images.

Hi Mandel,

Thanks for the issue submit! We completely agree with you, but we've decided to update the sleepy face emoji to appear more like Apple's for now (you'll see this new change within 24 hours). Unfortunately the mass market isn't aware of the proper emoji titles, and cross conversion from Apple's iconic graphics are a much higher priority than sticking to the original unicode description. This may change in the future as emoji advance however.

Your help is greatly appreciated!
Rick
