As far as I can tell the debian control file in testplugin already handles libwxgtk3.2 and 3.0 . There may be a need for a bookworm build, but that should be easy to add to the circleci config.yml.

However, I would like to make sure that this process of updates actually fixes the issue before chasing my tail on it.

Jon, I agree with you about chasing your tail, but I've found that we need to stay on top of this stuff before it gets worse and worse. Furthermore there is a trial and test stage which takes time, which does not just happen immediately.

We need to confirm exactly what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. Dave is certainly the main OpenCPN dev helping. Perhaps when the time is right he'll be able to advise in more detail.

CI: Housekeeping, fix bookworm build (#3507) #3523
OpenCPN/OpenCPN#3523 (comment)

Update ci/control to meet more modern standards (bookworm seems overall more picky about the format). Closes:

    RPi5 Bookworm arm64 error loading dependesies #3507.
Update the focal build to build jammy instead. The idea is that we build the newest and oldest supported ubuntu version.
Add a bookworm build -- we should really build debian stable, this is what's used directly or indirectly on most RPis
    Some general CI housekeeping.

PS: Not sure I fully understand the reasons for this, but I think it has to do with RPI Users having trouble.

@bdbcat Is this already fixed in FE2? Can I close it?
