Bug Report: Unreadable Text Appears as Boxes When Closing the App

Environment

  • Version used: 10.2.3, snap package
  • Operating System and version: Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
  • Desktop Environment: GNOME
  • Browser Name and version: N/A

Expected Behavior

When I close the app, the text in the confirmation dialog or any related UI should be readable, showing proper letters and words.

Current Behavior

When I attempt to close the app, the text in the confirmation dialog is replaced by boxes (tofus), making it unreadable.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Open the application.
  2. Attempt to close the application.
  3. Observe that the text in the dialog (or UI element) is unreadable and appears as boxes.

Can you reproduce this reliably?

Yes, this happens every time I attempt to close the app.

I have attached a picture of the issue so you can see it in action. Cheers and great product by the way, I have used it daily ever since discovering it when looking to make my own productivity tool and needing inspiration!

Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding!

I am also pretty sure there is an existing issue about this somewhere, where also a work-around is described, but I can't find it :D
