Files deleted after updating draw.io desktop to latest version. #1693

Describe the bug
I had installed draw.io 24.1.0 in my windows desktop. It was installed in this particular location -> D:\draw.io .
Then within this folder i had created a sub folder called -> My Diagrams, where in i was creating some diagrams and saving them in this location.
Everything was fine, until i got a notification to update draw.io to latest version.
Now after update, my folder ->My Diagrams is gone!. And not available even in Recycle Bin.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior :
Please refer the bug description.

Expected behavior
My folder should not have got deleted. It is difficult to recover the lost work.

draw.io version (In the Help->About menu of the draw.io editor):

  • Was using draw.io version 24.1.0. Issue happened after i updated to latest version post this, which is 24.25.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows.

This is an issue with electron-updater package we use
Please follow this issue electron-userland/electron-builder#8196
