No event when brush size is changed via shortcut

I'm just getting started w/ plugin development, and as an exercise I'm trying to keep track of brush size. When the brush size is changed via the toolbar I see a "set" event. However I do not see any event when the brush size is changed using the standard shortcut ( '[' and ']'). Any thought on how to see this event?

Hello, this is because Photoshop is not exposing this event. There are more cases like this. Adobe would need to change Photoshop to support these.
