Describe the Bug

While previous tickets have addressed the main thread scrolling issues, there are still some edge cases where the thread list's auto-scroll behavior is inconsistent. We need to investigate these remaining scenarios to ensure a completely smooth user experience.

Steps to Reproduce

Note: here are initial test cases to help identify the edge cases

  1. Rapidly switch between threads in different positions of the list
  2. Create multiple threads in quick succession
  3. Create a new thread while already scrolled to the bottom
  4. Some other occasions where the scroll behavior seems unexpected
