Probably it will be tough to test that stuff with travis since a subset of the solvers needs to be called via an external compiled script. How to tell travis where to get the source code, how to compile, and lastly how to tell salesperson where the executables are located?

Done for solvers called via the TSP package.

Testing on travis is possible. Need to provide an archive of all the solver sources, write an install script and execute. See the installing dependencies travis guide.
