Hi Kaellwen;

Thanks for your interest in IPOP VPN and reporting the issue. We have changed the path to the file but haven't updated the document. This is the new path:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ipop-project/Release-Management/master/Deploy/linux/installer

But it hasn't updated to the latest version of the software. May I ask what operating system you are using? If it is Ubuntu or any other Debian-based Linux distros, we highly recommend using .deb packages instead of the installer script.

Please feel free to contact us if you need help installing and using IPOP VPN. :-)

Bests,
Vahid

Thanks, it works by using script, though it's old version.
I also attempt to install ipop by Manually and .deb in my Ubuntu 18.04 LT, it always don't work, maybe I have some error with the config.json.
I prefer to install by using script, because it could tell how to fill my info clearly, and then I can read config.json to learn what the config looks like.By this way , I could be familiar with it gradually.

Vahid:
I try to install by .deb, I found it work after I reboot my computer.
Awesome!

@Kaellween,

Glad to hear that! You can only run one instance of IPOP on your machine at a time. I guess you had already another version of IPOP running on your machine and that's why you couldn't run it with .deb without a restart. In general, you don't need to restart the machine to make IPOP running.

Feel free to ask us any question you may have. :-)

Bests,
Vahid

@ Vahid
Is't there the newest windows.install document?I found the conf.json is different.

@kaellwen,

This is the answer from our team lead, Ken:

There isn't a windows release for v18, there is limited windows support but the user has to build and package themselves plus understand how to write the specialized config. Basically there is not bridge/switch integration on Windows. Only one TAP device can be created and you have to configure IPOP to connect to an Ubuntu instance with a switch.

Feel free to ask your question more specifically, if you didn't get the answer.
