Download of ZIM files hangs, nearly impossible to download larger files

Samsung A51, 128 GB internal, 512 GB microSD card with exFAT, >400 GB free. VDSL 50/10.
802.11ax, ~50 cm between Modem and Mobile. External power supply.

Downloading larger files is painful as the download will stop after a partial download.
You will not be able to continue the download, so you will have to start over. Again and again.

It can be stopped after a download of around 100 MB, but also after 32 of 33 GB of a file have been downloaded.
After more than 100 attempts to generate ~ 1.6 TB of traffic, I was able to download the German Wikipedia file (33 GB).
It is technically possible to download if the download does not hang ...

But you can also have trouble downloading 1,1 GByte large files. Same procedure, less tries, faster success.

However, you can also have problems downloading 1.1GB files. Same procedure, fewer attempts, faster success.

Kiwix still shows the same progress:

What you can do:
Stop, retry

and maybe one day you will be lucky ...
