It's actually working awesome on the newest Instagram v87.0 on my iPad Pro 9.7" iOS 10.2.1 via doubleh3lix jailbreak!! I can't thank you enough this is a dream come true at last!! Glorious high res!

Stories were a little weird until I added the FLEXv3 app from Cydia and installed this patch:
http://getflex.co/patch/Fix-Stories-Resolution-iPad/app/Instagram/id/43957

That not only fixed Stories but it also corrected several buttons that were shifted into untappable areas! ALSO I use unlimapps.com Instagram++ and adding this FLEX Stories patch SOLVED a few crashes that happened when you tried to Save Stories etc! Now it's just crazy awesome!

It's literally like I've spent years staring through a tiny telescope and suddenly I can step back and view the entire world with both eyes!

Well I can but it's shockingly simple. The problem is, the top and bottom 20% of Stories are still cut off. Even worse, when you Share Post as Story, it always distorts the result when posted, from your iPad's 3:4 ratio, to a 9:16 ratio.. so any people end up squished and looking freakishly tall and skinny.

Here's the patch nevertheless:

Target Class: UIDevice

Target Method: UserInterfaceIdiom

Return (long long) 0.

That was all that’s in it!
There’s another patch “Instagram Patch” that has a ton of changes to viewport sizes and CGRects and a lot of stuff that appears relevant, except they’re all set to “pass-through”? Which if I understand correctly, means do nothing different?

Sorry I apparently never shared the patch! I just edited my last comment above.
