Closing modal creates flicker on page

I'm playing around with or input testing page, which has a modal at the bottom. When I open the modal, everything works as expected. However, when I hit "Cancel" to close the modal, there is a flicker that happens just as the modal hides below my screen view.

I'm running iOS 7.1 on and iPhone 5s

The flicker happens for Android also when modal has input field.

Tested on Nexus 4/5

Same here on iPhone 4, iPhone 5 (both iOS 7.1) Galaxy S4 4.3 Galaxy S3 4.2.1
