Example to use type_order with group_order simultaneously for two group keys

I want the references to be sorted by type (based on type_order) first and then sorted by year in descending.
So I tried to use type_order with group_order simultaneously for two group keys. But it does not seem to work. The type_order is ignored. Am I missing anything?

  group_by: type,year
  group_order: descending,descending
  type_order: [article,inproceedings,techreport,phdthesis]
