Currently, deployment guidance suggests each DSS instance be provisioned with three n2-standard-8 machines. Preliminary analysis indicates that this may be more than necessary. We should document load assumptions, Cockroach Labs sizing guidance, and therefore the recommended deployment configuration that meets these needs. This should be accompanied by adjustments to the jsonnet deployment configurations to match this recommended deployment configuration.
