[QUERY] Can "Slack Web API" be used along with "workflow apps" ?

Hello All,

Can we make use of the Slack Web API along with the workflow app created as detailed at Create or remove an app?

Specifically, we would like to use datastore-related APIs like apps.datastore.put, apps.datastore.update. We want to call these APIs from one of our applications (not related to Slack).

To use Slack Web APIs, we need a BOT token, and there is no way to get it for "workflow apps"? Is this correct?
