PhD and postdoctoral openings

The Clean Energy and Water (CEW) lab at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has openings for one Ph.D. student (Spring 2023) and one postdoc fellow starting as early as possible. Candidates with a background in computational mechanics/materials/electrochemistry are encouraged to apply.

We are doing research on Li-ion batteries, with a focus on the fundamental understanding of the transport effects with the coupling of mechanics, electrochemistry, and materials. Skills with continuum modeling (finite element and phase field), multi-physics modeling, or multi-scale modeling are preferred.
We seek motivated and dynamic colleagues to join our culturally diverse research team, more broadly, at RIT. It is a super active lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. You will get hands-on support from the advisor, and grow fast with all the young people in the lab.
