#Welcome;<p>Welcome to the demonstration of the custom <b>cached fold-change table</b> panel!</p><p>The source code for this panel is available <a href="https://github.com/kevinrue/iSEE_custom/tree/master/table_cachedFoldChange">here</a>.</p>
#customStatTable1;<p>This is the custom table panel.</p><p>Right now, it does not display any data because it requires an active selection of samples from another panel to compute a fold-change between the selected samples and all other samples.</p>

#rowDataPlot1;<p>The custom function uses a cache to store both the selected column identifiers and the corresponding fold-change (<a href="https://github.com/kevinrue/iSEE_custom/blob/master/table_cachedFoldChange/custom.R#L40">source code</a>).</p><p>This avoids the need to recompute the fold-change if only the selection of features to display changes.</p>
#rowDataPlot1;<p>Indeed, when the selection of samples changes, log fold-change values are computed for <i>all</i> features. This means that when the feature selection changes, only the set of cached values that are displayed in the table changes.</p><p><b>Action:</b> Successively select different sets of genes, even large ones, and see the custom table instantly update: it is not recomputing anything, only filtering the table for different rows!</p>
