Currently, we use the Beautiful Jekyll theme, alongside the Jekyll static site engine to maintain the site. Hugo is a new Go-based static site generator, with more modern and R-centric integration, including RStudio's new blogdown package. (We'll be able to write blog posts in RMarkdown!) As there already exists a port of our current theme for Hugo, it ought to be relatively easy to migrate to this newer forward-looking backend. Would there be interest in writing about our work (via blog posts) -- and sharing said posts -- if we had a system more accommodating of RMarkdown?
